Tyrese Haliburton Makes NBA Playoff History with Triple-Double, Indiana Pacers Close in on 2025 NBA Finals
In Game 4 of the 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Finals, Tyrese Haliburton delivered a performance for the ages, leading the Indiana Pacers to a 130-121 win over the New York Knicks and pushing his team to a commanding 3-1 series lead.
The 24-year-old guard recorded a historic triple-double: 35 points, 15 assists, 12 rebounds, 4 steals, and zero turnovers — a feat never before achieved in NBA Playoff history. While Nikola Jokic (2023) and James Harden (2021) managed similar numbers in the regular season, Haliburton stands alone in doing it when it matters most — under the bright lights of the postseason.
This was also the first home victory of the series, as the Pacers bounced back after a Game 3 loss at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Indiana set the tone early, scoring 43 points in the first quarter. Despite a Knicks comeback that gave them a brief lead at halftime, the Pacers regained control with strong scoring runs and an electric home crowd behind them.
Haliburton wasn’t alone in the spotlight. Pascal Siakam added 30 points (11-21 FG), Bennedict Mathurin exploded for 20 points in just 12 minutes off the bench, while Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner chipped in 16 and 13 points respectively.
The Knicks were led by Jalen Brunson’s 31 points, with strong support from Karl-Anthony Towns (24 points, 12 rebounds), OG Anunoby (22 points, 3 steals), and Mikal Bridges (17 points, 4-5 from beyond the arc). Josh Hart posted 12 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.
The game was sealed with a clutch three-pointer from Obi Toppin, extending the lead to 126-116 with just 46 seconds remaining. The Pacers now sit one win away from reaching their first NBA Finals since 2000.
